FAQ:

  1. Should I budget for taxes?  No, Rutgers is a tax exempt institution.  If you need proof of tax exemption number please contact Tom Snyder via email; tlsnyder@camden.rutgers.edu.
  2. Can we budget for tips?  No, tips must be paid from either your revenue account (save receipts for reimbursement) or out of your pocket.  The SGA strongly encourages tipping the delivery person.  S/He works hard for all our student groups.
  3. What exactly is an itemized budget?  Do you have any examples?  Yes please scroll up for a link to an itemized budget example.
  4. Why haven’t I received a budget response if I already submitted the general and itemized budget budgets?  Chances are the finance committee has replied.  Responses are always sent to the email the budget was sent from.  If you email account is full it will automatically bounce back.  Perhaps the finance committee has responded requesting fro your signature or other forms required to have on hand in order to receive funding.  Either way you should contact the finance committee through this email sgafunds@camden.rutgers.edu as soon as possible.
  5. Where can I find forms and guidelines for the budgeting process?  Right here on this page, just scroll up a bit.
  6. How do I obtain the prices to use equipment and/or for catering?  Please contact the reservations office at reserve@camden.rutgers.edu

  7. What is the end of the semester report?  Every group and SGA committee are required to submit an end of the semester report outlining the activities of the student group/committee for the fall semester and providing a report of how funds were used.  Guidelines for the end of the semester report can be found overhead, just scroll up a bit.
  8. Why aren’t there more questions?  As you submit questions we will post the answers.  So don’t be shy; ask us!  You’ll be doing everyone a favor.
